Pulled no punches.

Not since Steve McQueen gathered his merry band of P.O.W's in Germany has there been a greater escape but the job's not done yet for Limerick after they avoided automatic relegation from the League of Ireland. Martin Russell's men will be breathing a huge sigh of relief after they managed to beat the drop to the First Division although a promotion/relegation play-off with Finn Harps awaits. This scenario seemed extremely unlikely though after a 21 match winless run and their 203 days at the bottom of the Premier Division. Limerick's safety meant that Drogheda United fell through the relegation trap door and their captain Mick Daly didn't refrain from giving his honest, frank and incredibly truthful appraisal of a forgettable year for the Louth club. The former Man City man took to Twitter to give his views on their season and they're definitely worth a read. https://twitter.com/mickdaly10/status/660231423928999937 https://twitter.com/mickdaly10/status/660231656884801536 https://twitter.com/mickdaly10/status/660232437226725376 https://twitter.com/mickdaly10/status/660232793046294528 https://twitter.com/mickdaly10/status/660236082622177284
