Best fans in the world?
UEFA confirmed today that so far, the Republic of Ireland has submitted more Euro 2016 ticket applications than at least 19 of the other countries involved in this summer's tournament.
Ireland is joined in the top-five best-supported teams by host nation France, as well as Switzerland, Austria and Poland.
We think that Ireland deserves extra props, since we have a much smaller population than any of those countries. That and it's much harder for us to drive to France.

UEFA also released the top three most in-demand games, and Ireland make another appearance: Sweden-Ireland, Portugal-Austria and Germany-Poland are the games that fans are most eager to see.
