Video: Anyone see the big Jedward head behind the Sky studio in Thomond Park last night?
Thankfully, Jedward themselves had nothing to do with Sky’s coverage of Munster’s victory over Saracens last night, but the terrible twins had a presence in Thomond Park nonetheless.

One thing that television producers can’t avoid when broadcasting matches live from a ground is distractions provided by the punters present at the game, as was the case in Limerick last night when one supporter put an oversized paper Jedward head on the end of a stick and began waving it at the window where the Sky broadcast was taking place.

Because they had their backs turned to the window, Alan Quinlan, Will Greenwood and Scott Quinnell had no idea what was happening, but how could anyone watching on have taken what they were saying seriously with that going on in the background?

It obviously wasn’t an ideal scenario for the Sky crew, but we found it pretty funny anyway.

Check it out for yourself in the video below, it might be turned on its side but you get the idea.

Hat tip to Deirdre Whelan for sending this one into us on Facebook.
