It was a night of heroes - one of the greatest ever results in Irish football history.
Throughout the tournament the Irish fans have supported their team with unending passion and tonight they were paid back and then some.
Those fans will paint Lille green tonight but before all that they stayed back en masse to belt out The Fields Of Athenry.
It was reminiscent of 2012 when the same fans stayed on to sing after the 4-0 humbling against Spain, but this time it was to celebrate an unforgettable victory.
