Gary and Paul O’Donovan are on top of the world following their magnificent silver medal performance in the men's lightweight double sculls rowing event in Rio de Janeiro today.

It’s not even a slight understatement to say that Ireland has developed a huge soft spot for the brothers from Skibbereen, not just for their obvious sporting talent, but for the personality they’ve shown in every single TV performance so far.

Listening to them, you’d swear they were having a casual chat with friends as they mentioned looking forward to some pizza, struggling to go for a pee in a cup and missing out on all the craic back home in Skibbereen.
