It's over to Aintree we go today with a Gordon Elliott runner in with a big shout and then back to Clonmel tonight for another crack. JOE's Daily Punts, in association with Boylesports.
2pts e/w – Aintree – 4.50pm
I thought THARAWAAT (pictured above) ran a cracker at Cheltenham last time out. Only for blundering at the second last Gordon Elliott’s charge could well have been in the money on that occasion.
This will be his first time around Aintree and I reckon Davy Russell’s mount will relish the ground and trip. Medermit and Royal Charm will have legions of followers for certain, but this isn’t a straightforward contest by any means.
5pts win – Clonmel – 6.35pm
Anything but a win for KILLULTAGH QUEEN would spell disaster for connections, as this mare has been banging on the door for far too long now.
Her last win came in December ’09 and has since ran into second place on no fewer than four occasions. Sure to the short price favourite to grab her first win over fences at the fourth attempt, I don’t much else coming within an asses roar of the Willie Mullins-trained seven-year-old.
