No hanging around for Notorious, and it is Diego Sanchez in the firing line this time.
After such a quick win against Dustin Poirier, we wondered when Conor McGregor would be back in action. We had hoped it might be before Christmas but we never thought he’d be fighting again in just seven weeks.
But that is exactly what is happening, as the man himself tweeted this morning.
I am fighting @DiegoSanchezUFC in Mexico, November 15th. He spoke a big game. Now he will pay with his career. VIVA LA EIRE!!!

UFC 180 is in Mexico City on that date, where the headline bout is the heavyweight title fight between champion Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum.
Sanchez was due to fight Norman Parke on the bill so we don’t know what has happened to ‘Stormin’ or at what weight the proposed McGregor/Sanchez fight will be at but it could mean McGregor moving up to lightweight.
The two have sparred a fair bit on Twitter over the last year, so this should be tasty.
Now, anyone know the cheapest way to get to Mexico?
UPDATE: While the man himself reckons the fight is on, it seems the man who makes the decisions, Dana White, says it is not.
He has just been quoted thus:
Dana White on Conor in Mexico: That kid is nuts. No he's not. He wants to but he's not.
