The Helly Hansen Killarney Adventure ace is over for another year. Here’s a spectacular video showing what you missed.
As we have been telling you for a while on JOE, Killarney Adventure Race is one of the best races of its kind in the country. And the 2012 edition went off in beautiful conditions in Kerry this weekend.
The above video captures rather brilliantly the different tests, and the great conditions, that this year’s race went off in so hats off to YouTube user brownseamus for putting this together.
It also showcases pretty well the stunning scenery that is in store for anyone who takes part in the race.
As for the winners, you can find out all the info here and we have to give special congrats to Tim O’Donoghue, who won the 67km event. Tim covered the 7.5km mountain run, the 35km bike ride, the 1.5km canoe leg, another 18km mountain run and the final 4kk bike ride is an astounding 3.33.54.
We’re exhausted just typing it. Better get the runners on if we’re going to compete next year.
