We can’t deny that this footage of some top surfers tackling some huge waves in Teahupo'o looks incredibly scary… but it doesn’t half look like an awful lot of fun as well.
Because of the risks involved, it takes some balls to tackle waves that are as high as multi-storey buildings but we can only imagine the thrill that Raimana Van Bastolaer and other professional surfers like Maya Gabeira, Carlos Burle when surfing waves in Teahupo'o in Tahiti last week.
Teahupo'o, which featured in the film Riding Giants, is widely known as having some of the heaviest waves in the world, something that is illustrated quite clearly in the spectacular footage of Van Bastolaer and company doing what they do best… and enjoying the hell out of it.
