This one might hurt Down fans a little but Caolan Mooney scored his first goal for Collingwood at the weekend so we had to bring it to you.
At 19, Caolan Mooney could be the shining new star of James McCartan’s Down’s team as they prepare to face Mayo this weekend. Instead, he is in Melbourne, making a living in the AFL with Collingwood.
After trials, Mooney only moved to Melbourne full-time last year but a quick ascent up the Aussie Rules ranks, helped by a five-goal haul in the reserves last month, has seen him make his debut in the big time and now he has a goal to his name too.
