Video: The worst dive in a boxing match you’ve ever seen

In the long and tarnished history of boxers taking a dive in fights, surely this must be the worst ever.

We don’t know much about the man who hits the canvas here in dramatic fashion bar the fact he is reported to be called Cory ‘Spare Tire’ Briggs. Not the best name for an athlete, we think you’ll agree.

Anyway he was ‘fighting’ former NFL player Ray Edwards at the weekend. Edwards, out of the NFL since November, is a former Viking and Falcon and he has dabbled in boxing before.

Back last year, Edwards beat TJ Gibson on his debut and that one went to the judges. By the looks of this, Briggs was making sure that Edwards won this one in the first with this apparent flop.
