Greedy t-shirt stealer refuses to give up Djokovic memorabilia
Remember the greedy woman who stole the Novak Djokovic t-shirt from the grasp of a young girl after the Australian Open? Yeah, she’s not giving it back.
A young girl was left heartbroken following what was an epic final after a large woman in the front row greedily intercepted Djokovic’s attempts to provide her with a little bit of memorabilia to remember the day.
By the time the woman had intercepted the t-shirt, Djokovic had his back turned to the crowd and considering that merely turning his head may have induced exhaustion after close on six gruelling hours of tennis, he was unaware of the woman’s t-shirt hogging exploits.
The clip became a worldwide hit on the interweb earlier this week, but despite the vitriol spewing from everyone that encountered it, the woman in question has no intention of relinquishing her prize.
“When the shirt was thrown, there would have been 20 excited people, all with their hands out, after (it had been) thrown, there would have been 19 disappointed people,” the detestable Yael Rothschild told Australian television.
“Such is life. I am not sure how you can snatch out of the hands of someone sitting three seats away from you with a barrier between the seating,” she added.
We’re not surprised she’s not giving it back to be honest. The greedy bi*ch has probably sold it on eBay already.
