Picture: Colts owner Jim Irsay gives away $8,500 to a Twitter follower
This guy got a pretty good surprise when he opened his post to find a signed letter from Colts owner Jim Irsay. Oh, and $8,500 in cash too.
By Adrian Collins
When Colts owner Jim Irsay put out a contest on Twitter asking one of his followers to guess the correct score of last weekend's AFC championship game between the Patriots and the Ravens, we doubt that anyone expected to him to hand out the cash when someone won.
He said he'd send $8,500 to the person who guessed the closest score, and one lucky follower guessed 27-14, just one point off.
After the game, @mikesong was named the winner of the bet, and got a direct message from Irsay asking for his details, and hey presto, he's got a lot more cash than he did the day before.

He also got a signed letter the Colts chairman congratulating him for winning, and thanking him for his continued support.
Unfortunately, the taxman got wind of this lovely windfall nice and early, so Mike has already had some cash taken.
@jonb819 they already took my social and the colts are reporting it before I got the money

We really can't imagine any chairmen in the Premier League doing this one, except maybe Tony Fernandes since he practically lives on Twitter.
Hat-tip to the lads at Brobible.com for this one!
