If you are watching the Super Bowl build-up, you’re going to hear a lot about Baltimore’s Ray Lewis. This skit expertly rips the piss out of what you will hear.

The Super Bowl this coming Sunday in New Orleans, between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens, is not short of story lines. Both teams have QBs looking to win their first Super Bowl. The 49ers are the up-and-coming squad, the Ravens are looking for one last win from an older group. Hell, the coaches of both teams are brothers, Jim and John Harbaugh.

But the big story this week, aside from will Beyonce lip-synch the half-time show or not, is the tale of Ray Lewis.

A 17-year veteran of the league, Lewis has one Super Bowl win already but he is now probably best known for his outrageous emotions pre and post game and his constant evocation of a 'higher power'. Even by US sports star standards, he is OTT.

If you pay any attention to the build-up this week you will hear a lot about Lewis. He is set to retire after the game and his season was supposed to be over with a bicep injury but he returned miraculously early to lead the NFL in post-season tackles. The networks are going to go wall-to-wall with him this week, and during the game, so brace yourself.

Anyway, this very nicely put together piece by Saturday Night Live at the weekend skewered a lot of what you will probably hear this week from No 52.

If it doesn't make you laugh now, it will after you wacth the build-up.
