A-Rod has been playing badly of late, and at 37 his star is on the wane. Baseball is in the play-offs right now and the best paid player in the game was dropped by his manager for some recent games due to his atrocious hitting.

It was widely reported in the US this week that A-Rod wrote a note on a ball and asked one of the ball boys to pass it to the lady in question, later identified as Australian bikini model and designer Kyna Treacy.

A-Rod has denied the story but sources in the club have told various news agencies in the States that it is 100 per cent true.
Reports suggest he succeeded in obtaining the precious number and he has certainly raised the bar for players sitting on the bench at games. Over to you Premier League.
