Bremont offer Irish discount
Boutique British watchmaker Bremont has decided to make up for the absence of stockists in Ireland by offering their luxury timepieces at a price below that in the UK.

Bremont is very much the new kid on the block when compared to Rolex and its other competitors, having only been in existence since July 2007. However, the firm’s exclusive range of watches has proved hugely popular among those who can afford them and were road-tested by Bear Grylls, Charlie Boorman and Everest climber Jake Meyer.
Key to the brand’s success has been strict exclusivity – each watch edition is limited to just 1,000 pieces. Although designed in the UK, the watches are built in the Swiss town of Biel/Bienne and incorporate elements of Swiss engineering.
Bremont watches are notable for their distinctly aeronautical design, which stems from the company founders’ unique relationship with flight. The father of Bremont founders Giles and Nick English was an RAF aerobatic champion killed during a display – and the pair decided to use their father’s line of work as the inspiration for many of the designs.
The brand quickly spread and has become available in over 35 in the three years since foundation. However, Ireland is not yet one of them so if you want to get a hold of a Bremont you will have to do it through the website – www.bremont.com. The good news is that they will charge you their UK retail price minus VAT. They also cover postage costs.
If you fancy owning the Aston Martin of watches you will still need to have your credit card fully charged. The company’s MBII for example will cost £3,195 or €2,928 with UK VAT of 17.5 per cent deducted.
