Keep your cards safe with the Secrid wallet
The Secrid Cardprotector is more than just a wallet. Available at all Bertoni stores throughout Ireland, it takes your traditional old wallet and turns it into the 21st century.
Holding – and protecting – up to six of your most important cards, such as your credit and laser cards or various ID cards, the Secrid Cardprotector means that the days of rifling through your wallet looking for the right card will be a thing of the past.
Instead, one click of the button – yes, your wallet will now have a button – will see all your cards pop out for easy access.
Handmade in the Netherlands using ethically sourced leathers from Italy, Secrid wallets are available from all Bertoni stories throughout Ireland.
The mechanism of the Cardprotector fits up to six cards while external pockets can hold a further six, and there is also a note-folder inside which can hold up to 10 notes.
"Some people might think they’re on the more expensive end of the wallet spectrum but to be honest I'm really selling them well now and the price has not been an issue at all so far," says Lee Graham of Bertoni.
Part of the reason for that might be that you’re getting more than just a wallet. The Secrid wallet comes with a full two-year guarantee on parts, while the leather is superb quality and vintages beautifully over time, meaning that the lifespan of this particular wallet should be far in advance of the common-or-garden wallet that might well be looking as if it’s gone a couple of rounds with Tyson in a couple of years’ time.
The Secrid Cardprotector is nice and compact, too, fitting inside almost any pocket or handbag. The cards are easily inserted into the Secrid Cardprotector and once inside, the patented mechanism secures each card on both sides. This mechanism prevents the cards from rubbing against each other and reduces wear and tear on the chips and magnetic strips.
