Fashion label Coach has collaborated with artist Hugo Guinness to produce a limited edition collection of art-inspired leather and canvas illustrated bags and accessories for men. Above are the images, although you may be distracted by the eye-watering prices.

Coach believe that each design has been created celebration of sincerity, whimsy and artistry, with Hugo’s sparse and straightforward aesthetic perfectly complementing the honest simplicity of a classic Coach leather bag.

The London-born artist who lives and works in Brooklyn,  documents a wide range of objects in hand-carved linoleum prints. Hugo’s unexpected choice of subject matter – from a ubiquitous New York coffee cup to a pair of handcuffs – complements the rough-hewn, woodblock look of his ‘linocuts’ with a well-honed, witty sense of humour.

Hugo says, “I am inspired by what I see around me in the city and in the country: something overlooked and perhaps unusual to see in a picture, the everyday things of life that we tend to ignore. That’s what appeals to me: honesty, simplicity and humour.”

The Hugo Guinness for Coach collection is available from February in the Coach mens boutique on the lower ground floor of Arnotts.
