Trendspotting: Make a statement with a print shirt

23/01/2012 7:00 am

Is the resurgence of the checked shirt finally over? We wouldn't bank on it, although it's nice to see a fine alternative in print shirts.

Head to a venue in Ireland these days and you're sure to be bombarded by a sea of checked shirts. Despite the revival in the checked shirt taking place around four years ago, it's not showing any signs of dying down in recent months.

However, while denim shirts and chambray shirts continue to make a splash, one 2012 trend to keep an eye out on is that of print shirts, with simple, colourful designs that stand out from the crowd. The trend is very much in its infancy but as evidenced below, it's sure to get you noticed if that's your intention.
