Once the preserve of ladies only, now it seems false eyelashes for men, called Guylashes, are gaining popularity.
High-class stores in England such as Harrods and Selfridges have reported a recent increase in men looking for information on the false flutterers and a company called Eylure has launched a set of fake eyelashes for men, which are available in Boots across the water.
The set, costing less than a fiver, are apparently selling well. Eylure claim that Johnny Depp and Russell Brand use their product but neither of the two lads are exactly the average man.
They also claim that some men feel their lashes are just not big enough and they see nothing wrong with giving that area a little boost.
Maybe it’s just us but we have no idea if our eyelashes are good, bad or indifferent. We never consider our eyelashes at all, in fact, apart from when one goes rogue and nearly blinds us.
And the thought of the ads, with Depp and Brand proclaiming they are worth it as they promise five times extra volume from their magic application wand is just too disturbing to contemplate.
So, is there anybody out there who would give Guylashes a try?
