Dermot O'Leary's style X-Factor

He's the ever-stylish X Factor host that deals with Wagner, Mary and the irritating Konnie Huq on a weekly basis, while never mising a fashion beat - Dermot O'Leary.

X-Factor has given us many reasons to tune in and shout at the TV this year, be it the do-anything-for-fame Katie, the car-crash performances of Wagner, the fall from grace of Miss Cheryl Cole or the much-awaited Take That reunion that ended up being a Robbie Williams single with the boys on backing vocals, yet the one thing that never fails to impress is the styling choices of host and JOE Man of the Year nominee Dermot O’Leary.

Born Sean Dermot Fintan O’Leary, the X Factor host has topped many a sexiest man poll, with his appeal attributed to his laidback interviewing style and effortless style. Deemed the ultimate down-to–earth guy , women swoon and guys want to have a pint with him.

That said, O’Leary has seriously upped his style game in recent times, dare I say it, even knocking former style icon and Big Brother's Little Brother host George Lamb from the top spot.

Dermot and his other half strut their stuff on the Harry Potter red carpet

According to menswear writer and stylist Tom Stubbs - who has compared O’Leary to none other than Steve McQueen in Bullit, the X-Factor host wanted to up the style-stake ante this year. And up it he did, since the show hit our screens O’Leary has been seen donning made-to–measure suits from the covetable Spencer Hart, not to mention his two stunning bespoke suits by top tailor Thom Sweeney.

Stubbs felt the need to step away from the ‘over-done’ Mad Men of suiting choices. Instead, with the help of Stubbs, O’Leary has been seen to opt for suits with a mohair and god wool mix in rich blues, purples and a sartorial classic brown, all more slender when fitted with a bit of a shine. Suited and booted, Dermot looks slick and on top of whatever the unpredictable contestants and ever-so-predictable judges may bring… it's all coming up O’Leary.

However if made-to measure suiting is a little out of your reach…here are some great alternatives:

Stately Mohair Suit - Reiss, €560.00

Voyage Mohair Waistcoat - Reiss, €110.00

Philippe Formal Shirt - Reiss, €110.00

ASOS Slim Fit Brown Suit - ASOS, € Various

Traditional Herringbone 8.4cm Tie - Tie Rack, €17.70

Acne Fringe Wool Scarf - Urban Outfitters, €80.00

Ted Baker Hake Lace Gibson Black Patent - Office, €106.00
