Up Your Game
Video: Meet the man who upped his game with thanks to Arnotts
Recently JOE went along to Arnotts to see how the winner of our 'Up Your Game' competition got on with his €1000 spending spree.
As a bloke you'll know how challenging it can be trying to buy clothes when there's no one around to help. So it’s handy knowing that Arnotts offer a free personal shopper service to anyone who requests it. That means no more wandering around a department store wondering if the baby blue corduroys are really as appealing as the exit.
Meet Mark Bonfil, JOE’s most recent ‘Up Your Game’ competition winner. Recently, Mark dropped into Arnotts on Henry Street with his prize and JOE went along to see how his personal shopping experience went, which you can see for yourself in the video above.
Now, Mark wouldn’t be a man who’d spend an awful lot on clothes every year, "maybe €400-€500 a year", according to the man himself. So his €1000 prize is sure to be well used.
With his brother’s wedding coming up Mark expects to splash out on a nice new pair of loafers and, as you’ll see in the video, a nice belt to match. There’s also one “outlandish jacket” that Mark says he doesn’t think he would be getting if it weren’t for the prize.
Speaking about his personal shopper experience, Mark said, “Most of the time, the average bloke might not know how to dress until he gets a girl and only then she’ll start dressing him. So I think it’s a really good service, very useful. The personal shopper gave me some good ideas, told me what colours suit me and what colours don’t, that type of thing.
“Some people just see a certain fashion and throw those clothes on just because it’s ‘the fashion’, but it doesn’t suit them at all, you know. So the service is quite helpful.”
So lads, put away the 90’s throwback Xworks and Eclipse threads and get yourself down to Arnotts where it’s packed wall to wall with the latest men’s fashion. You can also get a helping hand with the personal shopper while you’re there.
