Microsoft don't exactly have a reputation for going wild and letting their hair down so after one incredibly misjudged conference presentation in Norway, we hope it stays that way.
The corporation gave a presentation to the Norwegian Developers Conference in Oslo last week in order to publicise their Azure cloud computing platform but apparently thought it necessary to warm up the crowd in advance.
They did so with a combination of house music, dancers and real weak penis-based innuendo. As you do...
As you can see above, the dance routine included song lyrics flashing on-screen, including the line: "The words MICRO and SOFT don't apply to my penis."
"This week's Norwegian Developer's Conference included a skit that involved inappropriate and offensive elements and vulgar language. We apologise to our customers and our partners and are actively looking into the matter," wrote an embarrassed Microsoft in the comments section of assorted YouTube clips of the spectacle.
Their head of corporation communications, Frank Shaw, later backed up Microsoft’s position by tweeting: “This routine had vulgar language, was inappropriate and was just not ok. We apologize to our customers and partners."
Take a look at the cringe worthy performance if you dare in the embedded clip above. A word of warning though - it really is as bad as it sounds but is somehow quite enjoyable at the same time. Just watch the Scooter-resembling show and judge for yourself.
