Obama addresses his people...on Google+?

30/01/2012 6:18 pm

Obama is set to take to the interwebs tonight and use the power of Google+ Hangouts to address the world. It’s nice to see that even the President of the United States enjoys a bit of social networking every now and then, although seriously, we always pegged him as more of a Facebook man. Then again…

Tonight, Obama will use social networking in order to connect with the world. His address, which was previously billed as a post-State of the Union talk, will now be more of a question and answer session.

The questions Obama will attempt to answer have been submitted via the web and voted on by Google users themselves, while the world watches from their computer screens.

This isn’t the first time that Obama is getting into the spirit of the “Fireside Chat” vibe made famous by Franklin D Roosevelt and it definitely won’t be the last according to slashgear.com. The President is set to up his amount of social interactions using the internet now that election time is inching closer.

If you want to see what kind of questions the public has in store for Obama, check out the +The White House page on Google+ at 5:30pm.

Let us know if he gets asked anything particularly dodgy…
