Google's latest invention has drawn a lot of interest from people, and as a result a lot of questions. Here are some stupid ones.
By Adrian Collins
With the announcement of Google Glass, the internet giant has generated a lot of publicity about what exactly their new product was and even more questions about what it would do.
They've taken the time to address some of the more bizarre questions in their FAQ, and the folks at Google have some answers on whether or not you can scuba dive using Glass, or is it safe to operate a jackhammer while wearing Glass?
The answer on both fronts is, unfortunately, no, so forget about recording your scuba lesson for YouTube. You also can't use glass to “protect your eyes from ?ying debris, balls, sharp objects, or chemical explosions”. We're not sure what type of balls they mean, but either one is unpleasant to get in the face by all accounts.
Essentially, it sounds like Google have created a product that left JOE with the same conundrum we had when we had to wear glasses in school during PE: Do I want glass in my eye? No thanks, we'll just do laps again so.
