Cee Lo Green is certainly not the shy, retiring type, as the singer's penchant for figure-hugging gold lamé at a recent gig ably demonstrates.
Despite what the title of his all-conquering hit, 'F**k You', may suggest, crooner Cee Lo Green doesn't give a f**k what people think, especially when it comes to fashion.
After all, who else would show up at the 2011 Grammy Awards dressed like a cross between a Roman centurion and a hundred dead tropical parrots? That outfit itself, worn on the music industry's most prestigous night, was the very definition of not giving a hoot about what anyone says.
We're been watching some of Cee Lo's fashion choices with a keen eye in recent months, with his outfits regularly varying from the sublime (a dapper red and white tux at the Brit Awards) to the ridiculous (this bizarre cult leader-like garb).
Appearing in concert at the O2 Academy in Birmingham earlier this week, Cee Lo's outfit was either another two fingers to his fashion critics or a spectacularly ill-judge and unflattering misfire. Take a look for yourself below:

Sweating profusely while resembling a Quality Street wrapper is never a good look
Let's be honest - certain, shall we say, 'men of a larger persuasion' will consciously dress to flatter their shape as best they can. Quite rightly, this means that several looks are out of the question - figure-hugging jeans and Speedos among them. In fairness, those two should be carefully considered by any man, no matter your size.
Simply put, gold lamé is never to be worn by any self-repecting man, alright? Elvis couldn't do it, MJ couldn't do it and this kid can't do it either. And you, anonymous reader, shouldn't even start getting any ideas in your head either. Lamé is not your friend.
Of course Cee Lo is one of the few music acts confident enough to potentially pull off the Quality Street wrapper look, but with a tee that's at least a size too small, his outfit hugs the body in all the wrong places. Dressing as a giant Roman parrot is one thing, sweating in a tight lamé top is distracting for altogether less joyful reasons.
If you haven't taken any of our advice and secretly harbour a love of gold lamé, you'll be pleased to hear that American Apparel are selling a shiny wind breaker in their online store at half-price. Did it receive the 50% discount after AA caught sight of Cee Lo's latest style blunder? It certainly couldn't have helped their sales.
