Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher's French Jackpot

What a bunch of zany kooks, eh?

We know what you're thinking. "Wow, that movie looks awful", and you'd be right. However, you might also be thinking that the above shot of an alluring Cameron Diaz and a gurning Ashton Kutcher is from 2008 'comedy' What Happens in Vegas, in which Kutcher drunkenly gets married to Diaz and subsequently wins a multi-million dollar jackpot.

Apparently, however, much of what happens in Vegas does stay in Vegas, as the movie's title had to be changed in France so as not to confuse the cheese-eating surrender monkeys. New, slightly better title aside, it doesn't make the finished product any more enjoyable.

The US 'Megamillions' Jackpot

It's OK to hate this man with a passion

See that guy above? He's one half of two of the luckiest bastards in the world, as he was one of two lucky ticket winners in a March 2007 MegaMillions draw in the US. Though he had to share the eventual jackpot, he still ended up with a tasty $116 million.

The biggest winners in the jackpot's history wisely didn't come forward, but all we know is that one winner came from Idaho and the other from Washington. In January 2011, they got $190 million each, beating odds of one in 176 million. All these numbers are causing our eyes to water and our fists to raise upwards in rage, so let's move on, shall we?

Marvel's Jackpot

As is customary in the comic book world, Jackpot has a great plastic surgeon

Of course there's a superhero named Jackpot - why wouldn't there be? The ravishing heroine, pictured above in all her glory, has been a recurring feature of Marvel's The Amazing Spider-Man series since 2007.

The character exists in the real world as Alana Jobson and has powers which include superhuman strength and handily enough, grappling hook launcher prowess. Sadly, she is unable to turn things into gold, rendering her name somewhat useless but still quite catchy.

Daryl Hannah's Jackpot

Presumably this isn't a shot from Jackpot, or else we'd have watched it

When she's not getting blinded in Kill Bill or flapping around Tom Hanks as a mermaid, you can find Daryl Hannah in the 2001 drama Jackpot. Or don't, as it sounds horrendously depressing. Here's the IMDB synopsis:

Sunny Holiday, an aspiring singing star, abandons his wife (Hannah) and young baby to set off on a nine-month tour of bleak western towns.

Sounds eh... riveting.

Chingy - Jackpot

Chingy rocked double denim long after B*Witched

Lastly, we have mid-2000s rapping sensation Chingy, who taught us all how to do it "Right Thurr' by switching the way that we walk and letting down our 'hurr'.

Unfurrtunately furr Chingy, despite going platinum with this debut album, he nevurr quite repeated his success with a similarly gambling-orientated follow-up release, Powerballin'. A loss for the world of rap? Furr shurr.

Adrian Lewis is one of eight stars on show at McCoy's Premier League Darts, which visits Dublin for the first time ever when it takes place at the O2 Arena this Thursday (22 March). For McCoy's Premier League Darts at the O2 ticket details, click here.
