We all know you should always wear a seatbelt in the back seat of a car but just in case you weren’t 100 per cent sure, here’s a reminder.

Seatbelts in the front seat of a car are a no-brainer but there are still some people out there who don’t think the back seat ones aren't such a big deal.

They are wrong, of course, and this pic shows one of the more minor things that can happen if you don’t belt up in the back.

Posted on Reddit by user Vital0ne, it shows what happened his friend who didn’t have his belt on during a crash.

In the long posting that followed the pic they explain that the friend’s face hit the headrest and then the powder from the front seat airbags settled on the impact to leave the very distinct outline of his face as it smashed into the headrest.

The friend was, luckily, okay afterwards but we bet he always puts his belt on from now on.
