German traffic wardens are currently doing a bit of damage control after they ticketed a car that was made entirely out of snow...
Someone in Aachen, Germany, thought it would be great craic to make a full sized VW Beetle out of snow – sure why not? Their sculpture was so good that it fooled traffic wardens who gave the ‘car’ a parking ticket.
It looks like the wardens may have actually fallen into a trap set by some mischievous pranksters, as the car was built right in the middle of a no-parking zone in the dead of the night, according to Orange News. The car came with outlines of all the windows, wheels and even the VW badge. Check it out below...
"It was incredibly realistic looking. It looked like you could get into it and drive away once you'd swept the snow off," said one local.
"The wardens eventually realised they'd been had when they tried to scrape the snow off the number plate and found there was no plate, just snow," they added.
A spokesman for the local traffic unit said: "We can take a joke as well as the next person and it was a very convincing prank.
"But whether it was made of metal or snow it was still obstructing a road that should have been clear."
