Here's what we've all been waiting for: a movie in which Liam Neeson fights wolves. And no, they don't appear to have taken his daughter.
He may have just turned 59, but nobody can tell Liam Neeson he's too old to become Hollywood's favourite action star. Though revered for roles such as Schindler's List in the past, the sheer success of 2008 revenge flick Taken has brought the Ballymena man down an entirely different path to where his career began.
The new path appears to be guided by Joe Carnahan, who last directed Neeson in the recent A-Team remake and now has plonked the formidable actor in the wilds of Alaska.
The Grey sees Neeson as part of an oil drilling team that struggle to survive after a plane crash strands them in the wild. Hunting the humans are a pack of wolves who see them as intruders. Although to quote one YouTube user who viewed the clip, "A pack of wolves against Liam Neeson?? Come on... At least throw a bear or two in it to make it a fair fight."
Either way, if we've caught the end of the trailer correctly, the actor appears to have fashioned miniature airplane alcohol bottles onto his fists as makeshift boxing gloves. Your move, wolves.
The Grey opens in Irish cinemas in late January.
