In news that will gladden the heart of Liverpool and Ireland fans, Seamus Coleman could be about to swap Goodison Park for Anfield.

According to reports this morning, Kenny Dalglish fancies bringing the Donegal youngster in during the January transfer window, and he expects to get a bargain too as Everton are so stuck for cash.

If Coleman does make the move, Everton will still make a tidy profit, as the 23-year-old cost the Toffees just £60,000 when they bought him from Sligo Rovers. The fee Liverpool expect to pay is rumoured to be in the region of £8million.

Coleman signed a new deal with Everton this year, and he has over four years left on that contract but Liverpool have enough dollars in the bank from their owners to make it happen if they want.

A move to the Reds would also do his chances of forcing his way into Trap’s plans for the Euros no harm either so this is good news for everybody, except David Moyes.
