Wrap-up: Not a classic but a decent game of rugby. We'll remember O'Gara's precision kick, Howlett's run and heroic man-of-the-match performance from David Wallace. Felix Jones put in a great display at full-back and O'Connell will be thrilled with his input. Perhaps Leinster felt the effects of a long season and draining Heineken Cup win last weekend but we can't take anything away from Munster here. No-one should begrudge them this success.
Uh, Nigel Owens goes to the video ref again. But there's no try and that's it. Munster are the 2011 Magners League Champions!
No try. Play brought back for a penalty to Leinster and it should be the last play of the game.
Leinster finishing with a flourish and the referee is looking for video assistance to check if McLauglin has got over for a consolation try.
What a scrum from Munster and was all about O'Connell there. Big back pats for the warrior. O'Gara converts and that is almost that lads.
PENALTY TRY MUNSTER!
Paul O’Donohoe is on for Reddan. And Munster have a penalty which would kill of the game. But wait, they're going for the corner and O'Gara doesn't want to know about the tee. Finish with a bang sure, why not?
Leinster are arsing around with it. They had an opportunity to get out of danger but now it's a lineout to Munster and I think the first leg of my accumuator is safe. Happy days.
Whoa! Outstanding run from Doug Howlett, definitely deserved a try. Such a shame the pass went behind Ryan. Scrum to Munster and Paul Warwick is on for the last few minutes in place of Jones.
Munster are two metres shy of the line. David Wallace is ther, so too is Leamy, Hayes... they're all at it. But Leinster have stolen it away.
Munster are piling it on yet again and one score now would surely kill off this final. Leinster look weary. Will Mafi do it?
He misses it and must be suffering a bit form concussion. Less than 10 minutes left and it's still all to play for. Test of the fittest now.
O'Gara is in a daze after colliding with Nacewa. He's been quiet today. Anyway, it's a penalty for Munster and ROG will have a crack at it from long distance.
Denis Leamy is on for O'Callaghan, and rightly so. He's been poor. Munster three points ahead and what a last 12 minutes or so we have on our hands.
That was one for the scrapbook. Keith Earls is on the end of a piece of vintage Ronan O'Gara kicking. Inch perfect kick pass and Earls dodges his way over the line. O'Gara misses a difficult conversion.
TRY MUNSTER!
Or is it? Lineout to Munster and they're bashing away again. Mafi goes for the corner, stopped. Will they get through?
OUCH! Fitzgerald goes through Howlett for a short cut. A fair hit but the Munster crowd isn't happy about it. I felt that one myself. Momentum broken.
Five metres away, O'Connell on the break. Mafi wants it, they're queuing up for it...
Munster need to muster up an answer now and you'd wonder where it's going to come from. They haven't been clinical today but they're on the attack again and Donnacha Ryan is flaking into the Leinster boys.
A beauty from Sexton and Leinster take the lead for the first time today. 20 minutes to go at Thomond.
O'Callaghan, first touch back on the pitch, gives away a penalty for holding on. Chance for Sexton to put them ahead.
And another bone-crunching tackle from Jones. this time it's Luke Fitzgerald on the receiving end. Damien Varley is off for and in comes Mike Sherry. Cian Healy and Kevin McLaughlin on for Leinster. Sean O'Brien is definitely gone off.
Oh my. Fergus McFadden lets the ball go straight through his paws. He had a clear run to the line and althought the pass from Heaslip was high, he should be celebrating now. And O'Callaghan is back into the fray. Turning point anyone?
Unbelievable defending from David Wallace. Literally driving Heaslip back from the line. Man and ball. Massive effort.
O'Connell makes a vital tackle on O'Brien along the sideline, he was nearly away there. If Munster win this it will be down to their desperation for success, it's a gritty display.
Massive sigh of relief around Thomond as Jones makes a terrific tackle on O'Driscoll and they eventually get a penalty. Breathing space. Wian du Preez is on for Horan I think it is.
Next 10 minutes are crucial with the numerical advantage. leinster in possession and building up a steam. But Munster turn it over. Felix Jones is having a stormer out there.
Sexton couldn't miss that. One-point game.
Superb tackle by Felix Jones on Heaslip to prevent a certain try. Donnacha O'Callaghan is sinbinned for an infringement. Penalty under the posts. That was champagne stuff from Leinster but Munster held firm. Down to 14 men though.
Leinster camped in Munster line. Over 20 phases now. They have to get in, surely...
... Leinster turn it on like a tap and they're inside the Munster 22. Danger here.
Huge hit from Keith Earls and I think it's going to be a dog fight from here on. O'Driscoll is away though...
Great run and pass from O'Gara. Horan drives forward and Munster are as they were from the first half, attacking the Leinster defence.
We're up and running again in the Magners League Grand Final.
What they're saying on Twitter:
@westawake #Munster capable of winning this if they continue using their wings. #Leinster not allowed use their wings Hard & Tough Game!
@lousul Hope johnny is doing another one of his locker room talks right now!
@thedudester1978 I'm just not 'Digging' this #MagnersLeague final after an 'Epic' #Premiership final.
Half-time snap-shot: Munster controlled that first 40 minutes but they should have a few more scores on the board. Are Leinster feeling the effects of last weekend? We'll have to wait and see. No surprise if they up their game from here on. Howlett, Jones, O'Connell and Wallace are all humming along out there. It's set up for a cracking end to the season.
Drop goal attempt for O'Gara comes up short and that's the half-time whistle. Munster 7-3 Leinster.
Munster are battering away on the 22, very central. One chance before half-time...
Howlett was away again there but didn't release in time and lost it. Nathan Hines took Marcus Horan out of it before Howlett set off and it's brought back for a penalty. He could have been sinbinned for that. Munster go for the corner, two minutes left to the break.
Leinster back row is suffering and, just like last Saturday, they're not even out of second gear... yet.
Inexperience there from Danny Barnes under a high ball could have proved costly. The Fields of Athenry is belted out at Thomond now inside the last 10 minutes of the half. They'll be happy with this so far.
... and he does so. 28 minutes gone and Leinster get their first score.
Penalty to Leinster for, ehm, I'm not quite sure. But Sexton will try to redeem himself from that early howler...
Ouch a replay shows Marcus Horan taking O'Driscoll clean out of it off the ball. A lucky man.
Tyical O'Driscoll. While down injured and being attended to by the physio the play booms past him and he leaps straight up to make an important tackle. Very open game now, fast and furious, and the first bit of afters just kicks off.
Holding on the ground from Munster, penalty against. And Leinster counter attack. O'Driscoll is down and in pain.
Munster camped inside Leinster 22. It's all hands on deck for the top side in Europe right now. They don't look like holding out for too much longer.
Sloppy from Sean O'Brien. He wasn't under pressure and drops the ball and knocks on. Scrum Munster. They need to start capitalising.
Munster attack again and boy do they look dangerousdown the right hand side. Jones, in particular, will surely get through at some stage.
Both Leo Cullen and Paul O'Connell are called over by the ref for a few choice words. Threats of yellow cards for players on both sides if discipline isn't cleaned up.
Leinster break and they've got a penalty and kick it to the corner. They want seven obviously. Great atmosphere now. Wow, what a take from Paul O'Connell in the resulting line-out.
It's been an excellent first quarter of an hour from Munster. Not a single fan in Thomond Park will be getting ahead of themselves however, given what Leinster did to Northampton seven days ago. Munster on top in the scrum so far also.
And an incredible conversion from O'Gara. 7-0 to Munster.
Doug Howlett gets over the line with ease for his 8th try in the Magners League this season.
TRY MUNSTER!
Munster fans are not happy. Wonderful flowing phase of passing from the home side and Howlett is away again. He offloads to Jones and it looked like he was clipped after the he kicked the ball ahead. Leinster off the hook. 10 minutes gone, no score, Munster on top but it's not living up to expectations yet.
Saracens are Aviva Premiership champions by the way afte they defeated Leicester, 22-18. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Howlett goes tearing down the wing and kicks it ahead of himself. He gives away a silly penalty though and Leinster get to clear their lines. Reddan was bumped off the ball.
... complete silence erupts into laughter after he makes a mess of it. Terrible attempt. He's still a legend though.
Penalty to Leinster. Long way out but Sexton is going to have a crack...
Doug Howlett and Felix Jones look very lively and the first attack was promising until the Heineken Cup champs turned over possession. No big hit yet.
Nothing comes of the line-out but it's a positive start from Munster. Perfect conditions for rugby.
Early penalty to Munster after Leinster kick-off. It's well inside their own territory and Ronan O'Gara hoofs it into touch.
And we're underway in the Magners League Grand Final...
Teams are about to come on the pitch. Around 6,000 Leinster fans have made the trip down to Limerick for this one. The rest are on the beer since last weekend with Ross O'Carroll-Kelly in Kiely's.
Joe Schmidt, Leinster head coach: "We want to put the pressure on Munster from the off today."
Ah come on Joe, another dose of what we had last weekend is what we all want. Well, something similiar anyway. Thomond looks incredible, by the way. Serious bragging rights up for grabs here.
I've wagered a few quid on this one on my Saturday accumulator. Munster, Barca and Cork hurlers. What say you? Daft, am I?
Brian O'Driscoll looks really fired up while giving some final instructions and words to his team-mates. It's all smiles in the Munster warm-up. I'd have thought it would have been the other way around.
So, three changes to the Leinster Heineken Cup winning team from last week while Munster remain as you were from their semi-final victory. We're about 25 minutes away.
Good afternoon and welcome aboard for the Magners League Grand Final between Leinster and Muntser. Fireworks galore you'd imagine.
