They may not have sleeves but gilets are as fashionable as ever. Here are just a few reasons why.
Gilets have undergone a real style resurgence in the past few years. Where once they were the preserve of creepy foreigners or birdwatchers, these days the outerwear is perfect for the rugged outdoorsy types to those that want to keep warm while looking cool.
While today's selections may not be iconic as the world's most famous gilet-wearer - Michael J Fox in Back to the Future, obviously - there's something for everyone on the high street or online, no matter your budget.
