Bavaria City racing isn’t all about super-fast F1 cars and drift cars doing donuts, how about a bit of street bike freestyle riding to jazz it up a little?
Fans at the event in Dublin in the summer can look forward to seeing the exploits of 30-year old Galway man Mattie Griffin, ranked fifth in the world at Street Bike Freestyle Riding in 2008 and 2009.
Mattie is something of a perfectionist and trains for hours a day every day to hone the repertoire of skills that will be on show for the Dublin audiences at the Bavaria City Racing event in the summer, but he doesn’t mind, he’s a full-time stunt rider and it’s safe to say it’s his dream job.
Soon after he decided to start stunt riding years ago, Mattie was spotted by BMW Motorrad Manager Conor McRory at the Irish Motorbike Show in Dublin in 2004. From there, Mattie carried out some demonstrations on different BMW motorcycles and was introduced to the BMW Motorrad team.
He can’t wait to do his stuff in front of his home crowd in the summer and on the evidence of the video above, neither can we!
