Arsenal will hope to secure the season long loan of Real Madrid player Nuri Sahin to bolster their midfield today. We wonder if Lukas Podolski will welcome his arrival?

The 23-year-old Turkish midfielder, who has yet to be confirmed as an Arsenal player, would not be a direct replacement for Alex Song, but would add creativity to the Gunners midfield, and he would join Santi Cazorla, Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud as the new attacking options at the Emirates.
Supporters at the Emirates will hope to see the youngster replicate his Borussia Dortmund form that made him one of the hottest properties in Europe last summer. But as this clip from the Bundesliga two seasons ago demonstrates, Sahin and Podolski will have to put aside any past differences in order for the Gunners to reap the benefits of their partnership.
Sahin took exception to a tackle from the German striker, with the end result a free kick for Dortmund, yellow cards for both men and a bout of verbal fisticuffs. With the game level entering injury time, Sahin pokes home a dramatic winner and celebrates in front of Podolski to rub his nose in it.
Could be an interesting reunion on Sahin's first day of training.
