Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher will be working together on Monday Night Football throughout the new season and we got an insight into how they’ll get on with their Premier League preview on Sky Sports News today.
Arguably the most interesting aspect of Sky’s improved Premier League coverage in the new season was the decision to add Jamie Carragher to Monday Night Football, a show that Gary Neville has made his own with some top notch analysis in the last two years.
The rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool will be put forward by some as a reason for potential fireworks between the pair on screen this season but the footballing knowledge of both should ensure that Monday Night Football will be as watchable, if not more so, this season.
Neville and Carragher offered their thoughts on the new season on Sky Sports News earlier today and they gave some interesting opinions, with Carragher saying that he fancies Chelsea to win the league because of the Mourinho factor alone and Neville speaking about the need for Carragher’s old club Liverpool to add power and strength to their squad before they’re ready to challenge for titles again.
All in all, it should make for interesting viewing next season and if the two of them don’t happen to get on, maybe we’ll get a bit of this…
