Brought to you by Dublin City Council

With céilís, workshops and a solid lineup of acclaimed artists, this free, unticketed festival is the place to be this August.

Whether you're fluent in all things Fleadh, céilí curious or you're simply on the hunt for an incredible weekend to round out the summer, the Dublin City Council Dublin City Fleadh has got your name on it.

Taking place in Smithfield Square - it was formerly known as the Smithfield Fleadh, after all - between August 23rd and 24th, the Dublin City Council Dublin City Fleadh is an all-encompassing celebration of trad. We're talking music, dancing, interactive sessions and a good few opportunities to brush up on your cúpla focal, of course.

Throughout the weekend, a dynamic mix of local and international artists will take to the Main Stage to bring the tunes directly to the heart of Smithfield Square.

Here's a small sample of some of the incredible artists hitting up the Dublin City Council Dublin City Fleadh this August:

  • Frankie Galvin & Noel Hill
  • Zoë Conway & John McIntyre
  • The Fingal Mummers
  • And many, many more

Also at the heart of this year's festival is The Cobblestone Tent, curated by The Cobblestone Pub, a beloved Dublin trad institution. Throughout the weekend, The Cobblestone Tent will be playing host to a rake of trad events and sessions. Younger festival-goers, meanwhile, can enjoy a family-friendly offering in the Dublin City Council Dublin City Fleadh's brand-new arts-and-crafts tent with fun, creative activities for all ages.

Of course, the Fleadh would not be the Fleadh without an opportunity to don your dancing shoes (and yes, your trainers will do just fine) and practice your 'A hAon, dó, trís' with a good old-fashioned céilí.

So, ready to fill your final weekend of summer with live music, dancing and an impromptu seisiún or two? Get yourself to Smithfield Square on August 23rd and 24th and soak up every unforgettable moment of the Dublin City Council Dublin City Fleadh.
