In this ever-changing job landscape, we all know the importance of learning new skills. Whether we're looking to change careers or prepare ourselves better for a new role, one way to boost our chances of success is through further education. However, it's not always easy to find courses that are affordable. One institute that is meeting learners' needs in this regard is the National College of Ireland (NCI).
Through the Springboard+ Initiative and the Human Capital Initiative (HCI), learners can avail of further online training in in-demand areas either for free or for just 10% of the normal course fee.

What's on offer?
The courses available through Springboard+ and HCI are funded by the Irish government and are designed to address skill shortages and improve Ireland's ability to fill job vacancies. Learners can take certificate, higher diploma and postgraduate diploma courses in a number of areas including data analytics, cybersecurity, AI, software development and blockchain.
Who can apply?
Everyone can apply for an NCI Springboard+ or HCI course, regardless of their job status. If you are unemployed, you can avail of these courses for free, and if you are employed you can take them with a 90% discount.

How to apply
You can apply for Springboard+ and HCI courses online right here. You can also learn more about these programmes by attending one of two upcoming open events. The first takes place online on Saturday 26th August from 11 am to 1 pm, while the second takes place on campus at NCI on Wednesday 6th September from 5 pm to 7 pm.
