The 15th FLYEfit in Ireland will open later this year.

Whether we like to admit it or not, the festive season is approaching.

In two months’ time it will be 1 December, and we all know what that period does to our diets. Throws them right out the window.

But with the festive period coinciding with the opening of FLYEfit’s new “super-gym” in Dublin, you’ll be able to work off those selection boxes and get rid of the guilt that comes with them.

FLYEfit are opening a new gym worth €2.5 million in Blanchardstown, Dublin later on this year.

15 new positions will be created at the 20,000 square foot premises at Coolmine Industrial Estate, bringing the total number of gyms that FLYEfit currently operates in Dublin and Cork to 15.

Members pay a €25 joining fee and can then choose to pay €29 per month or €259 annually to access any one gym, or €32 per month or €299 annually for the popular ‘Roaming’ membership, which provides access to all FLYEfit gyms, allowing members to exercise wherever is most convenient for them.

The gym will be the first in the FLYEfit chain to have a Heated Polar Chamber. This allows members to train in 30 degree heat, helping them to burn calories, reduce fat, build endurance and to improve athletic performance. Members using it will be provided with Polar heart rate monitors.

Facilities at the new gym also include separate spin and yoga studios, large cardio, high performance and astro areas, KO8 suspension training, a boxing zone and two Olympic lifting platforms.

As well as the above, it’s being equipped with Concept 2 rowers, ski and bike ergs, watt bikes, air runners, Elieko sets, power racks with integrated platforms and more than 20 plate-loaded machines, to cater for all interests.

A lot of those machines sound very confusing, but we’re sure they’re good for your body.

No exact date has been provided as to when the gym will open, but it will be at some point later this year.
