That’s right, Arsenal fans can treat themselves to a double helping of their beloved former manager this evening as he will be appearing on both The Late Late Show and The Graham Norton Show.
The Frenchman hasn’t suddenly taking a fancy to the chat show circuit, rather he has a new book, Arsene Wenger: My Life in Red and White, to promote.
Surely, on this occasion, he can’t claim not to have read it and dodge any questions on the topic, as he did countless times when avoiding comment on controversial incidents during his time in the dugout.
There’s more sporting royalty on the Late Late Show in the form of the King himself, Kilkenny hurling legend Henry Shefflin, who will talk about working with Focus Ireland, the difference between managing and playing and the return of the inter-county game this weekend.
Continuing the Arsenal theme, one of the most famous celebrity Gooners Piers Morgan also has a new book to promote and will be dropping by for a virtual chat with Ryan about topics such as “hysterically woke liberals”, Boris Johnson and Donald Trump.
The third sporting superstar on the bill this evening and also the third Late Late guest of the evening with a book to promote is Rob Kearney, who recently called time on his career with Leinster and Ireland and announced a move to Western Force in Australia.
Elsewhere on the show, Dermot Bannon will discuss how the Covid-19 pandemic has changed how we live our lives at home and Wild Youth will be along to perform their latest single, Next To You, which recently premiered on JOE to hundreds of vans via Zoom and proved very popular indeed.
Speaking of music, the daughters of the late Phil Lynott, Sarah and Cathleen Lynott, will speak about being immortalised in song by their Dad and how he was a proud father ahead of a new documentary on the Thin Lizzy frontman.
Rising star in Irish music circles, Loah, will also be performing her version of one of Thin Lizzy’s most famous tracks, ‘Dancing In The Moonlight’.
Over on Graham Norton meanwhile, the host has a typically stacked menu of A-listers on this evening.
As well as the aforementioned Arsene Wenger, Graham will be joined by the one and only Samuel L Jackson, the great Dawn French and cricket legend turned TV star Freddie Flintoff.
Mercury Prize winner Michael Kiwanuka will also drop by to perform his single, ‘Light’.
The Late Late Show goes out on RTÉ One tonight at 9.35pm, with the Graham Norton Show airing on BBC One at 10.45pm.
