939 new Covid-19 cases, three further deaths

The latest Covid figures have been released.

939 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland, as well as three further deaths.

As of Monday, there are 341 confirmed cases in hospitals across the country, with 38 confirmed cases in the ICU.

262 of Monday’s cases are in Dublin, while 96 are in Cork, 61 in Meath, 53 in Galway and 51 in Donegal.

The remaining 413 cases are spread across all remaining counties.

Of today’s cases, 444 are men while 483 are women, with 66% of the cases found in people under the age of 45.

The median age of the cases is 32 years.

These figures bring the total amount of confirmed cases here to 58,067, while the number of Covid-related deaths has risen to 1,885.

The 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 of the Irish population now stands at 309.9.

Earlier on Monday, Northern Ireland’s Department of Health confirmed that 727 further individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

Sadly, another five deaths have also been reported up north.
