Dublin Bus, the DART and Iarnród Éireann have announced that they will be suspending all services until Tuesday October 17.
There have already been three fatalities today as a result of hurricane winds, two of which have occurred while the victim was in their vehicle. Gardaí have recommended that people stay indoors rather than embarking on any non-essential journeys.
While Bus Éireann announced yesterday that it would be suspending services, other modes of public transport had expected to continue through today with some degree of normalcy.
Now Dublin Bus, the DART and Iarnród Éireann have announced that services will not resume this evening and that public transport will be unavailable until Tuesday morning.
In a statement on Twitter, Dublin Bus wrote that it expects to be operational by first bus tomorrow.
