Gardaí are investigating the incident.
A Fine Gael senator has said he is “disappointed” after bricks and stones were thrown through the window of his constituency office.
Senator Colm Burke, candidate for Cork North Central, received a call from a nearby business on Sunday evening to inform him that objects had been thrown through the window of his office in Blackpool.
Bricks fired through the window in my office in Blackpool this evening. It has been a difficult few days with over 250 posters taken down and illegally removed.

“So I came in here 15 minutes later to find that two panes of glass were smashed in with both stones and bricks,” Burke told Morning Ireland.
“The brick was thrown with force because it bounced off a wall inside in the premises and took a chunk out of the wall as well, so it was thrown with a lot of force into it.”
There was no one in the office at the time and Burke said he’s in contact with the Gardaí over the incident.
The vandalism happened on the back of a difficult few days for Burke’s campaign which saw around 250 of his election posters pulled down across the city.
“We’ve had a problem over the last three or four days,” Burke said. “So it’s been a tough few days because over 250 posters of ours have been taken down off poles and have been removed.”
“One elderly lady rang us on Friday evening saying there were people physically using a ladder and they were climbing up poles and taking down our posters.”
He said he could not speculate whether the two incidents were connected.
