Gardaí appeal for witnesses following serious assault incident in Dublin

The man is said to be in a serious condition.

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses following the assault of a man in Tallaght yesterday evening (Saturday, 14 May).

A man in his 40s was found unconscious and with what looked like head injuries at a playground in Tallaght’s Mac Uilliam estate at around 11.40pm.

The scene is currently preserved for a forensic examination.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and an ambulance took the man to Tallaght Hospital before he was subsequently transferred to Beaumont.

His condition has been described as serious.

The scene of the assault has been closed to allow for a forensic examination to take place, and the authorities are appealing for any witnesses, including those who may have dash cam footage, to reach out.
