Man hospitalised after reportedly sustaining facial injuries in stabbing incident

The incident is reported to have occurred at a bus stop.

A man has been hospitalised after a reported stabbing incident in Kildare on Wednesday (5 October).

Shortly before 8pm, Gardaí were alerted following reports of a disturbance on South Main Street in Naas.

In a statement to JOE, a Garda spokesperson said that a man in his 30s was found with an “apparent laceration” at the scene.

He was subsequently taken to Naas Hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening.

According to multiple reports, the incident occurred at a bus stop and the man sustained a serious facial wound.

The Garda spokesperson said enquiries into the matter are ongoing.
