Seven people discharged from hospital following fall from truck in Enniskerry

Two remain in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Enniskerry GAA Club has said seven of the young men injured in a fall from a truck in the Wicklow village over the weekend have now been released from hospital.

Two others are still being treated for non-life threatening injuries in St Vincents Hospital following the incident on Saturday evening.

Nine people were injured on Saturday evening when they fell from the trailer of a lorry while celebrating a Junior B county final win.

While none of the injuries suffered were life threatening, some did require surgery.

The club said three of the team members were sent home from hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning

Four others were discharged later on Sunday as the club stated that “all the lads are doing OK.”

Gardaí have said they are investigating the incident.
