Batten down the hatches folks.
The country of Ireland may be well on the way to reopening, and though that is cause for celebration, sadly nobody informed the weather.
A status yellow wind warning has been issued for 17 counties across Ireland.
The counties in question are Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Roscommon Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath and Clare.
The warning will remain in place from 11am on Sunday until 6pm on the same day.
Met Éireann has warned that winds will reach average speeds of 50-60km/h, with gusts of 80-100km/h, also saying that “some disruption may occur.”
You really do hate to see it.
Meanwhile, a weather advisory was also issued by Met Éireann for the entire country of Ireland, warning that it’s going to be unseasonably windy on Sunday night, with strong and gusty westerly winds expected at times.
It just doesn’t seem fair, really.
Looks like a day for the couch so.
