The remains of the teenager were found last month.
Two males have been arrested as part of the investigation into the murder of teenager Keane Mulready-Woods in Drogheda last month.
The arrests were made on Thursday morning.
The men are being detained at Drogheda and Balbriggan Garda Stations respectively under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
The 17-year-old was last seen around at around 6pm on 12 January by his family in Drogheda.
Gardaí responded to a call on the evening of Monday 13 January, reporting that human remains had been discovered in a bag in Coolock, Dublin.
On 15 January, senior investigators at Drogheda Garda Station disclosed that the remains were those of the missing teenager.
Other remains were found in a burnt out vehicle on Trinity Terrace, off Clonliffe Avenue in Drumcondra.
On 17 January, Gardaí investigating the murder announced that they had received confirmation from Forensic Science Ireland that these remains are those of Keane Mulready-Woods.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar recently vowed to bring the teenager’s killers to justice.
“I really want to say to people across the country and also to the people here in Drogheda that crime doesn’t pay, that we will get these people behind bars and make this town safe again,” Varadkar said.
“And I really want to encourage anyone who has evidence or information to please come forward because to get people into the Special Criminal Court, to get them convicted, we need evidence.
“The Gardaí need information and people who bring that information forward or agree to become witnesses will be protected.”
