You've probably already seen the news that Katie Taylor lost out in the last 8 of today's Olympic games to Finnish fighter Mira Potkonen.

Her interview after the fight was tough to watch.

Our reporter in Rio, Joe Harrington, caught up with some of the Irish contingent who attended the fight and they'd plenty of kind words to say about Katie Taylor and what she has done for Ireland.

The disappointing result means that Ireland's sole hope of an Olympic medal in boxing rests firmly on the shoulders of Michael Conlan.

The Belfast bantamweight faces Russian Vladimir Nikitin on Tuesday in a quarter-final clash.
