Rascals to Host Charity Screening of Once in Celebration of Glen Hansard

Rascals Brewing Company is to host a special charity screening of the acclaimed Irish film Once on Thursday, August 6th, raising funds for the Simon Community.

Released in 2007 and directed by John Carney, Once stars Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová in the Oscar-winning musical drama that became one of Ireland's most beloved films.

The pair won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for 'Falling Slowly,' which introduced their music to audiences around the world.

Following the screening, attendees will also be treated to a special 20-minute concert film by acclaimed filmmaker Myles O'Reilly, featuring Glen Hansard and his full band performing Love Don't Leave Me Waiting, This Gift and The Auld Triangle at Dublin's Iveagh Gardens in 2013.

Admission is €5 plus Eventbrite booking fee, with 100% of ticket proceeds donated to the Dublin Simon Community, supporting its work with people experiencing homelessness across Ireland.

The event will take place in The Loft at Rascals Brewing Company, Inchicore, with doors opening at 6.30pm and the screening beginning at 7.30pm.
